About The Event
7th Annual Response to Recovery Conference held on September 23rd and 24th,2025 at the Connecticut Convention Center. Offering a diverse selection of session topics and workshops, the Response to Recovery Conference is an opportunity for disciplines across Connecticut and nationwide to come together to learn how to strengthen their response to child abuse and exploitation cases. Hosted by The Connecticut Children’s Alliance (CCA), the conference is a free event for all participants and this year we expect over 800 attendees for two full days of learning, networking and collaborating. With workshops and presentations from local and national experts, our goal is to give professionals such as law enforcement, prosecution, medical, mental health and community advocates, the tools to help prevent, treat and reduce trauma in children who have been significantly abused.
Who is CCA?
The Connecticut Children’s Alliance works to ensure that the child victims and their families are provided with the specialized and personal care and services of a Child Advocacy Center/Multidisciplinary Team. We also strive to ensure children are not further victimized by the systems designed to protect them while building a successful prosecution case. The Connecticut Children’s Alliance provides a voice for child abuse victims at a statewide level by improving the process on how cases are dealt with while keeping the welfare of the child victim in mind. Our vision is bring child abuse to an end. Our Mission: To avail comprehensive statewide services to all child abuse victims and their families through collaboration, systemic change, public awareness, prevention, and legislative advocacy.
