Leah M. Smith
LCSW
Leah Smith is a licensed clinical social worker who earned her Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University. Leah has been a forensic interviewer since 2002. She is currently employed at the Yale Child Abuse Clinic, and has also conducted forensic interviews for several other Child Advocacy Centers and Multidisciplinary Teams throughout Connecticut. As part of the ChildFirst/Finding Words interviewing course faculty, Leah is a small group facilitator who views and provides input and feedback about student’s interviews. She has provided educational sessions to several different disciplines related to child abuse and forensic interviewing. During her career, Leah has conducted over 4000 forensic interviews.
